Hello! I’m Dennis Miller; an award-winning toy photographer bringing small-scale illusions to life through visual storytelling with action figures.
Growing up an only child with Cerebral Palsy, I developed a deep love for the toys (and stories) of the 80’s & 90’s. Now, I focus this love into creating high-quality toy art with the goal of (re-)connecting the magic of play with the child inside us all.
My artistic journey includes active membership in the Articulated Comic Book Art community since 2015, co-creating a 50-week online toy photography contest (Figure Photo Fight) in 2020, and more recently answering local art calls, developing partnerships with organizations like Art Hang & Mal Bicho Collective, and creating workshops for Revision San Diego & Outside the Lens (creative workspaces for artists with developmental disabilities).

ABOUT ME
My photography has been selected for multiple juried competitions such as the SD County Fair (2023 & 2024), and the Small Image Show at Gallery 21. It’s been included in themed art events hosted by the San Diego Japanese Frienship Garden and Museum, Thumbprint Gallery, and the Comic-Con Musem. I’ve also proudly hung my work at the Official Comic-Con Art Show for the past two years.
If you’re a kid at heart, I encourage you join me on my nerdy ride as I incorporate nostalgia, inclusivity, and humor into extraordinary toy creations.
While the testimonials you're about to read are true, the images have been changed for comedic purpose.
This took me back to my childhood, the 90's.
Well done. That's exactly what art should do, raise emotions. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
